I have been
looking for a car, and shopping around at various dealerships. I went
to Sunnyvale Toyota, and talked to Fernando Gonzales, in the Pre-Owned
cars lot, who was very helpful in trying to find the best vehicle for my
budget. For the first time in my life I had a very good experience

I brought in my
Camry for a smog inspection. My check engine light was on. The Service
guy was very freindly. They checked the light before they smog the car.
The estimate was very expensive. The service guy Mingo went over
everything, he helped me to understand what was needed and and what i
can wait on doing. After talking to him I called my brother. I told him
most of what was talked about with Mingo. My brother reasured me that
what was said was true. My car passed smog, the light was off, and now i
know what i will should do the next time i go there for service.
I wasn't sure what to expect from a "dealer". i thought they were
just going to rip me off, but Sunnyvale Toyota has my trust, now my
business.

Toyota Increases Pledge to Food Bank For New York City to 1.25 Million Meals
Toyota this afternoon announced a substantial increase in its pledge to Food Bank For New York City. Originally, Toyota planned to donate one meal for each video view of the short documentary about its work with Food Bank, up to 250,000 meals. Toyota has increased the amount up to 1 million meals, due to the overwhelming response to the documentary. This is in addition to the 250,000 meals Toyota has already donated to Food Bank.
The film, which can be viewed at Toyota's YouTube channel, was produced by Supermarché, led by Rel Schulman and Henry Joost, creators of the feature films Catfish and Paranormal Activity 3 and 4.
The short film chronicles how a team from Toyota collaborated with staff at Metro World Child, a mobile food distribution unit that distributes emergency food boxes to community members in the Far Rockaways, many of whom are still struggling to get back on their feet more than six months after Superstorm Sandy. Their shared goal was simple, but critical – enhance Metro World Child’s operations to help it deliver more food, more quickly, to more New Yorkers in need.

My husband and i
worked with David Garske. he was very helpful with purchasing a car. We
ended up having to order our car and he was great giving us updates on
the car as they came to him.
when we picked up the car he was very efficient in getting the paperwork
done quickly.
Sean was our finance person and he was also quick and efficient.

I had been
shopping for a used SUV for a few weeks, and last weekend I was ready to
pull the trigger. I wanted to first take the car to an independent
garage for an inspection, and the sales staff at Magnussen and Capitol
Toyota both gave me a runaround. When I called Toyota Sunnyvale, I
spoke to C. J. Hsieh, who was helpful and straightforward. When I
eventually was ready to make the purchase, I reviewed the inventory at
Toyota Sunnyvale and made another appointment with C.J. Three hours
later I left with the car I wanted at a fair price with minimum fuss.
I should mention that I was paying cash, so I can't comment on the
availability of financing through Toyota Sunnyvale. They do have one of
the best selections used Toyotas and Hondas in the South Bay Area, and
their cars are priced in line with market. Both cars that I looked at
checked out with no major issues at an independent garage. The one I
bought had 118,000 miles on it, and it is running great. I am 100%
satisfied with the car, the buying process, and the price. I wouldn't
hesitate to recommend C. J. Hsieh to anyone shopping for a used car.
I do suggest only buying from dealers that provide the CarFax report for
free. I would avoid any car that had more than two owners, that has
been in accident, that has failed a California smog check, or that was
previously registered in the Eastern or Midwestern U.S. (where rust is
often an issue).

I have occasion
to use this dealership for both service and vehicles. This review is
about the dealership service department. Mr Naider Pancar, a service
advisor, is a most customer friendly and knowledgeable advisor. Because
of Naider I will always use this dealership. The service department is
very professional and well organized.

First class shop
- I was at the used car lot at 1124 El Camino. My first time buying
from a dealer, I went in looking for a specific car; and although not an
expert on that exact model, the service was very accommodating. The
3-day money-back is great also, so I could get my car checked out by my
personal mechanic. John E. was my sales rep, and he was very helpful in
answering all my questions and helping me look over that one and other
similar vehicles. Nothing pushy or coercive in any way like the stories
you often hear about used car dealers. It was an easy and engaging
process. It wasn't too long a wait to get financing straightened out -
and the finance guy Bart actually called me the next day to tell me he
was able to reduce my APR and finance fee by more than half, which was a
really nice surprise. Overall a great experience, and I will recommend
them to my friends.

Toyota Elevates Expectations with the Surprising 2014 Corolla
Building on 47 years of success and close to 40 million sales in the world, the 11th generation Corolla is a dramatically styled, sleeker, more dynamic Corolla that will change consumer perceptions of this iconic compact.
The new Corolla’s exterior design builds on the “Iconic Dynamism” theme seen on the athletic Corolla Furia Concept at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in January. The new Corolla builds on the styling momentum seen in Toyota vehicles launched in the past year, which has produced more expressive vehicle designs. With the new Corolla’s stronger exterior styling, it is clear that Toyota’s brand and product direction will emphasize more compelling styling executions that will appeal to current Toyota customers while also attracting more youthful buyers.
The Corolla’s design theme dictates a more advanced, modern-looking vehicle with a longer wheelbase and shorter overhangs, resulting in an athletic stance with greater presence. More pronounced flared wheel arches, and the impactful simplicity of cleanly sculpted surfaces, help lend the Corolla an exterior elegance. When viewing the profile, there is a sweeping character crease in the body’s sheet metal that spans the length of the sedan and accentuates the integrated door handle design. The 2014 Corolla’s exterior form tapers towards the front and rear of the vehicle to emphasize the wheel arches, with a longer, faster sloping roofline that blends into a shorter rear deck to lend the sedan a sportier image.
The new Corolla’s athletic character is complemented by a broad range of styled alloy wheel and wheel cover options ranging from covered 15-inch steel wheels to 17-inch alloy wheels. The new Corolla will also offer three new exterior colors.
The 2014 Corolla’s interior matches the visual impact of the exterior and adds a new level of refinement. The passenger cabin features a clean, horizontally oriented dash panel design that adds to the interior’s sense of spaciousness. The instrument panel and surrounding areas are finished in premium materials with piano black surfaces, metallic accents and decorative pin-striping to help elevate the compact car experience. Exquisite texture graining and soft touch material covers the top of the dash panel and key touch points in the cabin. Adding to the cabin’s elevated tone, Corolla offers a choice of seat-covering materials in premium fabric or available SofTex™ material. Attention to detail is demonstrated in the ornamental stitching spanning the length of the dash panel and the shift boot that adorns the center console’s shifter lever. Sound insulation has been strategically placed along the fenders, cowl, and behind the dash panel to reduce noise entering the cabin helping occupants enjoy Corolla’s available audio systems and connectivity features.
The premium interior extends to the rear seat as well. The new Corolla’s longer 106.3-inch wheelbase creates a more spacious interior, with a rear seat area that is 2.95-inches longer than the previous model, to offer outstanding rear leg room.
The 2014 Corolla will also offer a new LE Eco grade that is differentiated by a more efficient 140-horsepower, 1.8-liter engine with Valvematic technology; improved aerodynamics; and low rolling resistance tires. The Corolla Eco-badged models will achieve an estimated highway fuel economy rating of over 40 mpg thanks to the new Valvematic engine combined with a newly developed Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The Corolla L, LE, and S grade models are all powered by a 1.8-liter, four-cylinder engine with intelligent Variable Valve Timing (VVT-i) that produces 132 horsepower.

I had a
wonderful experience buying my new car from Josh Gunter at Sunnyvale
Toyota. I was treated very nicely and well cared for from the first
moment I met him. I highly recommend working with Josh. He was patient
and didn't rush me and was by far the best car salesman I was in contact
with during my search for a car. He actually made my car buying
experience a nice one.
Overall, I thought the Sunnyvale dealership was nicer than the other
Toyota dealers I was in touch with. Even before I made an offer on the
car they were the one Toyota dealership that responded to me in a timely
manner. Their follow up after the car was purchased is outstanding -
not at all what I anticipated. The one complaint I have about the
dealership (not Josh) is that when I first walked in to look for cars it
was hard to find someone to help me and it was pretty frustrating. But
once paired with Josh all was well. So my recommendation is to make an
appointment with a sales person ahead of time.
